Finished a 12-night stay last week. Cash rate + 2 TSU spread across 2 separate reservation, so I was in the Regency Suite. I'd have to echo the general theme here. The hard product is good, and I would say that the staff is very good. I can't say excellent because I didn't really need to engage the staff that much. I would say that the FD agent during check in was very friendly and helpful in working with me to get the room in the highest available floor. Bed is very comfortable. Shower pressure is good and water nice and hot.
The food at Copper & Steel, where the breakfast is, is quite good. Limited menu, but the pancakes and French toast are very, very excellent. The egg dishes are good but nothing extraordinary. Mrs. HalleysVomit and I each had one entree plus 2 drinks each every morning, sometimes an extra side or two. All were wiped out at checkout.
The bar area gets b-u-s-y during the late afternoon and the evenings. And AFAIK, on half the days there weren't even special events going on. But because the lobby/bar area is large and parking ample, I wouldn't say it affected my stay in any negative way. Lots of seating for you to pull up and work with your laptop in the same area during the day.
The property being attached to the Stonebriar Mall is definitely a plus. I'm not a good shopper, but for a part of the stay the weather was still very hot, so I could go to the mall to take long walks while window shopping.
Gym is fantastic. Not Hyatt Regency SF Embarcadero gym fantastic, but very well equipped. Pool was clean and sparsely occupied. But do beware that this is Texas, so it can get very windy. But there are also cabanas, and it was nice to be able to do some work by the poolside.
I'd say that aside from the Thompson downtown, this was my favorite Dallas area Hyatt.
(Apologies that I have no pictures.)
