I booked through the British Airways App from HNL to LAX and then LAX to YVR also on AA and the resulting confirmation number was ([REDACTED]). I had a chance to book my flight, but seats were to be determined 24hrs before the flight (during allotted check in time) flight was confirmed for AA284 HNL to Lax 3 OCT 2024 and after AA4864 4 OCT 2024 LAX to YVR.
I used Avios rewards that weren't pending, they were in my account for a long time as well points most of which I accumulated as BA executive club member from 2010. I have used the app many times to book other flights and never had issues.
I got my Avios point by purchasing tickets from BA and originally from converting the points from my visa.
I booked the American airlines flight on 27 Aug, 2024 which was more than 24hrs before.

AA canceled my seat and I had to purchase ticket From HNL by Hawaiian airline and took a bus back to YVR. I cannot find out what happened between talking to BA and AA. But BA is refusing to return my 72000 Avios point. Is all I see.
