a few weeks ago going out of detroit to atlanta - 1:30 pm or so on a dc9-50

the flight was late, then they changed gates, then it was a full flight and we ended up taxi'in the runway for 25min before heading back to the gate.... i overheard the fa's say we were overweight (almost 15 people had to check their carryon's for lack of room)

Before we made it back to the gate, i let the fa know i would be glad to wait for the next flight. I was offered $300 and a 1000 miles (which i took, duh)

caught the next flight to atlanta 8 minutes later Now I always book that 1:30 flight haha
