I have had the card for about a year and a half now. What’s good as you don’t have to use the card to purchase Air France tickets. Just owning the card gets you the mileage accelerator. The only thing that the card gets you in terms of XP is your yearly boost of 30 XP at renewal.
Like you, I do not use the actual card very much. I just keep it for the miles accelerator and the yearly 30 XP boost which is very helpful.
Coming from Aeroplan, it is a lot easier to get status with Flying Blue. Unlike Aeroplan, all flights will get XP even the discounted tickets. You also have the option to purchase extra XP through Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) which is a much better alternative to mileage runs.
