I agree. Some US properties are already giving out $15/person/day breakfast vouchers, which is not compliant with the T&Cs, but Marriott has been turning a blind eye.
Residence Inn New Orleans French Quarter still hasn't relaunched breakfast, so I think corporate just lets hotels do whatever they want.
