Red eyes to and from Moscow were awful, especially when on short haul aircraft. The 6am back from Moscow (which was 3am UK time) was particularly hideous.

I would agree with some of the posts above on the morning flights from Cairo to London (less painful in the days of the 747 / long haul 767 / BMI 321s) and anything medium haul on a short haul aircraft with a post midnight arrival time.

I would also add the night departure - around 2330 - from Lagos with a 5am Heathrow arrival time (though at least there is a reasonable aircraft these days).
