Pretty sure my passport came out of my pocket on the 193 this morning, but at LHR I got mixed messages.

Initially I was told to go and see lost property, and leave my details, and it would get forwarded to me. However when I spoke to them, I was told that any passports found are automatically handed over to the border agency, who destroy them.

I’m flying again in 3 weeks, so before I book an emergency replacement appointment at Peterborough, does anyone know whether there’s a chance my passport will be returned if found?
