If I have to choose between ramen and beef curry what do you suggest? I plan to have Japanese lunch/dinner and western breakfast. I don’t eat a lot but I worry if the Japan meal is not enough for a 14 hour flight. We’re in the Sakura lounge for 5 hours each way so I can eat there also.

Any idea what the sandwiches are on the any time menu? They look like cheese sandwiches and website isn’t very descriptive.

Also is there a second meal on 5/6? I understand on 35/36 there is no late meal and you fill out a card for breakfast in the morning?

Thanks.
JAL listed all the menus of all their flights in their website.

For all long haul flights on normal daytime hours like JL 5/6, a main meal/lunch will be served after takeoff, and then they have an on-demand menu featuring various hot and cold dishes, as well as two different set menus - one Japanese and one Western. You can technically have as much food as you want. You can order food from the a la carte menu after the main meal service is completed until an hour and thirty minutes prior to arrival. However they does not serve a pre-arrival meal formally. So you have to request it. The F/As will usually come around the cabin shortly before they stop taking food orders. But if you are asleep, they are not going to wake you up!

Curry beef or ramen - why don't you have both? Their rice/noodle dishes are Asian-sized, not American-sized.

For the overnight flights between Tokyo and Singapore, meal service is pretty structured. A light refreshment with three types of cup noodles on demand is served after takeoff, and then breakfast is served prior to arrival. Yes you fill in the card. The post above your question is exactly what you see on your overnight flight. KUL-NRT is a redeye flight, and the snack/meal service is exactly the same as your SIN-HND-SIN flight.

PS. They have yet to release the December (to February 2025) menu but should be published soon.
