A few months ago I cancelled a trip to Boston that a Companion coupon had been used on. Both my wife and I cancelled because we each had a mild case of covid19.
It had been charged to my Amex Reserve card.
Delta gave me an ecredit for my ticket and I received a refund of her taxes to the Amex card.
But I don't see that a Companion certificate was returned to me.
If I understand the above discussion correctly, I should have received a replacement Companion certificate.
If that's correct, do I call the Medallion line to have them research it?
I had assumed it was gone when I cancelled the trip booked using it.
As a followup to my comments above, I did call the Medallion Line and get the Companion certificate reinstated to my account. The Representative I spoke to couldn't locate it even though I provided the certificate number and prior record locator. But he put me on hold to speak to his Help Desk and that department found it and reinstated it. Thanks FlyerTalk for yet another useful and money saving thread!
