I did Starlux to get to Japan in May just to try them out (SEA-LAX on Alaska then LAX-TPE-FUK on Stralux).
While it was a great experience, I had no issues with wifi like many others had and had the full business class cabin to myself going to Fukuoka (and only ~6 other J passengers LAX-TPE), I wouldn't want to take such a long time to get to Japan again. Direct or through Korea at longest.
