Thank you for your reply. When you say Vueling "generally" deny all claims, you mean they deny all claims full stop? How do they get away with it? What is the point of Regulation EC261/2004 if the airline don't comply? If they don't have anything to hide, they should provide me with the evidence, as per Regulation that says "The airline has to prove this by providing, for example, extracts from logbooks or incident reports. The air carrier should give this evidence to the relevant national enforcement body as well as to the passengers concerned in line with national provisions on access to documents."
Yes, I am aware that the compensation is 250€/220GBP per passenger.
I'm trying to get the hotel costs from the travel insurance.
