Not a definitive answer but its normally four hours before the flight. That's been my experience both at BKK and LHR travelling as a BA Gold in Y. Maybe a day room somewhere near to the Airport drop off your bags. then a trip into Bangkok on the Airport Rail Link and a shower and change before going to catch the flight. QR use the new Satellite terminal and has a new lounge there that's operated by Miracle that's not too bad or busy.
