Yellow fever vaccine req - transit GRU?

Looking at a trip with separate tickets, arriving into GRU from SCL (non yellow fever country) and continuing with AF GRU-CDG-BKK. Will not have any bags, so planning on staying in transit at GRU.

My understanding is that in general, if you stay in transit <12h there is no need for a yellow fever vaccine. However, checking timatic via UA, it seems that Thailand requires even transit passengers to provide proof of vaccination. Searching the web, there is some conflicting information regarding this. So a bit unsure about the exact requirement.

Anyone that know the exact requirement?
