Hey folks,
I just need a place to vent about my frustrating experience with Finnair.
I booked a flight VIE-HEL-SEA-OGG via the AlaskaAir website using some Alaska miles.
The Finnair app showed that I had 3 pieces of free check-in luggage and the eTicket showed 2 free pieces (yes, it's weird that they show a difference but I didn't care since I only had 2 pieces of check in luggage)
At check-in at VIE airport the check-in person told me that I was only allowed one free luggage according to there system and didn't care about what my eTicket and App said.
I had to pay EUR 90 to get my second bag checked.
After my trip I tried to reach out to Finnair customer service to ask for a refund, sending them a copy of my eTicket and App screenshots, but their reply sends me to a webpage with a broken link (see screenshot).
To add to the frustration, the second bag arrived more than 8 days late to my destination.
Did I just get very unlucky on my first (and probably last) Finnair flight or is this somewhat 'normal' for this airline?
