Just noticed something odd when I checked in for my flights today. First flight MAN-AMS shows I can get an economy comfort seat for £15, onward flight to Milan shows I can get one for free. Platinum member so I’d assumed I’d get the selection for free?

I have also noted in the past that when booking the flight I cannot select the economy comfort seats but when I check in I can select one of these seats.

Anyone know why to both of these situations?
