a year or so back (I want to say ~6pm on a weekday), the Pre line at Checkpoint 4 had overflowed the serpentine and extended almost to the (oddly) nearly-empty Checkpoint 5

since my flight was departing from N at ~645, I decided to go thru 5 anyway, and the agent checking my ID handed me a “Pre-Lite” card (which of course meant I could leave my laptop and 3-1-1 bag in the backpack and keep my shoes on)

the end result was a stop in the N Lounge that I probably wouldn’t have had time to make had I gone thru Pre at Checkpoint 4

tldr: it would be nice if a ”Pre-Lite” card becomes SOP at the new Checkpoint 5
