I don't think it explains the booking fee discussed here, but it's worth noting AFKL has just decided to increase the price of all flights departing from France, starting in January 2025. The increase goes from EUR 7 to EUR 57 per passenger, depending on cabin and distance.
AFKL says they are anticipating the expected increase in taxes, which is likely to go in effect in France in 2025. The price increase has already been implemented by AFKL, so you cannot avoid it for your future bookings with a travel date on January 2025 or later.
