It's significantly larger, with more space to queue people before the checkpoints, and a much bigger area to get your stuff back on (looks like they took space from the ticketing side). Post-security it should help with the huge conflicts between passengers coming from C/D trying to get to the N train and people who just passed through security trying to put their belts and shoes back on.
