First of all, ignore the fact that you bought a BA codeshare. Your dispute is with Vueling. BA has no responsibility here.
Secondly, Vueling generally deny all claims. You will need to take them to small claims court. MCOL in the UK. You are limited to claiming the 220 quid compensation under UK261 and a refund for the flight(s) not flown. (you cannot claim for any non-refundable hotels, car rentals, etc.)
