That 103 euro is the fee for the direct flight priced at 20K miles. But you are right, when selecting that actual flight it seems to now have been reduced back to 73 euro, without the 30 euro booking fee. So it looks like the fee was removed...though remnants are still showing in the system. Which makes all of this even stranger...was this a temporary mistake? Are they prepping for the introduction of new fees?
Weird indeed. On the calendar the taxes show as €103.28, but on the flight selection they show as €73.28. This is on klm.de website, and it is interesting that it matches the €30 fee you saw before. Would be a definite downgrade if we suddenly went from having cancellation fees waived for Plat/Ulti to having booking fees. I wonder if the number of people booking and cancelling tickets as backups, or at random, has increased so much that they're looking for a way to now prevent that from happening in the first place.
