Well, on my Japan flights, often paying for P+, I've enjoyed less than a 50% success rate this year on the WL. In June (from HND), I only had success by changing my flight 3 times within the week before my flight to get the UG seats. I flew to AMS earlier in the year on KLM/DL because I could get a guaranteed biz seat for 2.8K, where if I'd taken UA, I would've been stuck in their poor P+ product for roughly the same money.
