I'm doing an ex MAN (as opposed to an ex EU) next April because I got a J fare to MEL for £2550 on CX when the LHR flights on CX were £6k. Outbound its an 09.20 departure for connection in LHR so wondering what it will be like.

I gather there's a hotel (can't remember the name) which is walkable to T3. Is this correct? I'm not going to build in much lounge time as I have plenty of time in LHR T3.

On the return I have direct HKG - MAN. I am assuming I will have to exit and go back through security for my connection back to LHR?
