Does this mean that generally (not in practice), properties are supposed to upgrade you to the standard suites if available without regard for the "number of category" upgrades? For example:
1. Booked into a base room
2. Base room with a view. Base room high floor. Corner room. Standard Suite. These are the 4 options available for upgrade.
3. Purely on the T&C, is the property supposed to put you into the standard suite? Or the corner room?
If we following the first part of the T&C then standard suite.
But then comes the second part of the T&C hotel identify which room/suites are available for u/g then the hotel can just identify nothing available and put you back into the base room where you come from.
Which is the magic word that I believe was put there to protect all Marriotts valuable customers.
