I remember it being quite a problem on JAL, who was an early adopter. Boeing introduced some fixes and, for whatever reason, on one 787 they didn't work. We ended up with an extremely dry cabin on that flight, and it was rough!
I definitely remember being absolutely soaked through at the back of a flight out of (I think?) JFK a number of years back. I have no recollection of the aircraft type, but as soon as we started to roll down the runway and absolute torrent of water descendend upon me for the duration of the takeoff. I couldn't do anything of course, couldn't get up or move to one side, just put my hands above my head in the vain hope of stemming the flow.
Rather amusing in hinsight, but I wasn't overly impressed at the time, and I don't recall the crew giving that much of a sh*t when they did answer my distress call
