Supposedly TELUS has offered peak demand call centre services from El Salvador for years (also seems to be commonly offered by many other companies from there, too). Looks like WS is just using this existing TELUS service to better handle the busiest times.

Looks like there is a “refer a friend” recruitment drive for TELUS El Salvador to provide coverage for WestJet:

I expect this is an extension of the collaboration with TELUS in conjunction with the StarLink initiative and existing telecom and IT security services that WS uses.
