I'd like to think that the OP isn't stuck in Hawaii. The flight was 3rd October, so a month ago. I think the OP is more concerned about their missing Avios. Based on 72,000 Avios this would seemingly be a one-way ticket for two passengers from HNL - LAX - YVR. The OP also mentions paying for their trip personally. I assume they bought a cash ticket after being told their Avios ticket wasn't valid. They just want their Avios back.

Tonycc62 presumably this ticket was booked using your own Avios, or did a friend or relative book it for you? As others have asked, did you receive a confirmation e-mail from BA with the ticket number beginning 125- shown on it?
