The OP has reported what he was told by AA and BA. Maybe AA gave him wrong information for why this award ticket was not honored, but he's reported what he was told. Any suggestions as to how he can get "more information," short of filing a DOT complaint or incurring the expense of filing for arbitration in his home country of Canada?
