In 1988 as an unaccompanied minor I took my first flight from LHR-SIN on a BA747 connecting onto to a SQ flight to Jakarta to be with my dad (or not connecting as it turned out). Anyway, we refulled somewhere in the middle east and picked up a few passengers. I always had it in my head it was Sharjah but reading this thread maybe not?

A slight detour to this thread but if anyone could sate my appetite if anyone knew where I did stopover would be much appreciated
