I am a bit nervous having heard that I need to pick up my luggage, go through immigration, and customs, and re-check in again... Is this still the case? Will I have enough time?
That's plenty of time. The last time I was there in 2010, I went through T1 and this was before the QR codes and all of that, I was through customs in like 20 minutes. The ANA re-check area was steps away and then the domestic checkpoint was just around the corner.
That being said, there are no airside shops in the T2 domestic, so if there's anything you want to buy to tide you over, do it before going in there.
