I was assigned to a project in Des Moines last summer and immediately looked for a *wood property. Nothing but a couple of Four Points. I spent 50 nights in DSM last year, all of them at IC properties, starting with the HI in West Des Moines.

Just by chance, I checked again last week on spg.com and, lo and behold, that same HI is undergoing renovation and re-opening on 2/7 as--a Sheraton! Thought I'd share the news.

Now if they would only offer better rates (compared to IC and Marriott)....
