Tricky one, I expect the Avios gesture is less than has been reported elsewhere as you were in WT+. Certainly there seems to be some adjustment of compensation amounts based on class of travel.
7.5k Avios doesn't sound like a lot, but I suppose it is worth £75 at the usual 1p/Avios rate. I think you may struggle to recover more if you took the matter to CEDR or MCOL as you would be relying on causes of action such as a potential breach of the Consumer Rights Act duty to provide the service with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with statements that influenced your purchasing decision.
Although the meal was clearly disappointing, unless it wasn't provided at all or was inedible, I think it would be tricky to say that a breach of the above obligations was made out.
