Oh goody, here we go again. The great, never ending “are Bask Bank (BankDirect) America Airline miles worth it” debate. Glad I got my popcorn and Jujubes .

The real answer, as with almost everything else in this game, is “it depends”. Everyone’s situation is unique, some are miles heavy, some are cash heavy, some are in a low tax bracket, some high, some can leverage an AA mile to 4 or 5 cents, some can’t. Some earned lifetime elite status due to Bask and/or BD miles and feel a debt of gratitude. It’s not “one size fits all”.
