if things go like this, get a Samsung A series that has more than 4GB ram. Recent ish A series should get 4 year upgrade and one additional year security update (5 total), ideally 8GB so that it lasts, the lower end still has 3.5mm and microsd
Samsung just released the A16 with an announced 6 years of Android updates (almost always counting from the phones’ launch date); the A26 is probably allowing soon.
