There’s a huge range of hotels within Hyatt. Without knowing which brand or specific hotel, I don’t think you’ll get very specific answers.

High end hotels tend to assign rooms ahead of time. Mid to low end hotels have more standard rooms and are flexible with moving by front desk.

Thanks for the reply. I thought my questions were generic enough so the property wouldn't matter. It's for a stay at the GH Kauai.

I guess my main concern is will I lower our chances for a u/g if I have an accessible room booked? If so I'll call the hotel today and switch to a standard room.
