UA doesn’t focus on differentiating who flies more or less miles, but who spends more or less. Maybe UA ought to just do upgrade priority by an 18-month rolling (flown, not booked) spend and be done with the confusion. Maybe tell MP members what 5% (eg 40-45%) they currently lie in.

I could see some GSs sinking to 1K - not sure that’ll make upgrades easier. Plus, the new hurdles are just for status in 2026. Gives United a year to announce changes in upgrade hierarchy to differentiate w/i levels based on a rolling spend.
