Hilton is considerably smaller than Marriott in a lot of markets; for instance, just off the top of my head, Bangkok, Singapore, Hong Kong.

"Any" is a bit of a goalpost move from the posts you're replying to.

While true, Hilton Diamond is only 20x spend with points that have considerably less traction vs. Marriott's 15x for Platinum hotel spend, so the difference becomes considerably less (but Hilton does do some valuable promos to move the needle back in their direction, a 2x promo on paid stays + Diamond + settling a bill with Aspire will do VERY well, sometimes it'll be 2x paid stays/3x if you use a Hilton card).

I find it easier to get outsize value for Marriott than Hilton on the redemption side (though SLH and Marriott dynamic pricing is changing that some).
