Hi,

Traveling in couple weeks on EK's 777 plane in the cheapest economy fare and looking to pay for assigned seats so that our family of 3 can sit together, on one of the 3 seater sides by the window. Since Emirates guarantees that a child will be seated with a traveling parent, wondering if I should bother paying for our child's seat selection and instead choose a window and a aisle seat leaving the middle seat unreserved. Not sure what can happen or if someone really will pay to reserve the middle seat in between. This would make a difference of having to pay $200 out of pocket for the 2 of us vs $300 for all of us for seat selection on 4 flight legs.
