Just my 2 cents, Hyatt's problem is their AI's are way over-priced and they don't seem to have deals through travel companies or agents either. We went to impressions moxche last year on points when it was 29,000 a night as our first AI and it was awesome, but I would never pay $1100 to stay there again, and 50,000 points a night is steep.
We've been looking to book a trip with another couple who doesn't have points and looking at cash prices, I can get a beach front swim up at excellence or any of the other "lesser" AI brands for the same price as the most basic Secrets room way off the beach. Price wise the only 2 large AI's they're comparable with are Xcarte and Atelier and they both seem to offer more than pretty much all the Secret's even Impression's.
If the last comment is true that their AI business is down, I can say it's largely due to price. Once you start getting over $800 a night for a basic room the math stops working, I can easily get a very nice hotel room for $400 and we are not going to spend $400 more a day on food and drinks in Mexico or the DR.
