This LA 787-9 is planned for the 1 x 2 x 1 configuration.
Thanks.
The 787 is much more spacious, offering a cabin width of 5.49m, whereas the 767 cabin width is only 4.72m.. That fact is telling as far as seat comfort since both aircraft are 1-2-1 in J class. I haven't flown the LATAM 787, but the DL 767-400 seats were a torture chamber for me on a relatively short JFK-CDG flight.

According to Delta’s website, the 767-400 J class seats are 51cm wide. In fact, this seat is narrower than all Delta domestic first class seats on single-aisle, short-haul aircraft, except the B717 (50cm); e.g., A320 series (53cm), B737 series (53cm), and A220 series (52cm). The 767-400 Delta One seat is the same width as first class seats on Delta commuter jets.

Even average size people are wedged into the 767-400 Delta seats. The armrest and console feel hard when your body is forced against them. Delta may have better service, but is that enough to make up for a bad seat?
