It's kind of a long standing joke here at FT. Traveller was scolded and she stopped counting that way.
IMHO, I don't think it is fair to count non-upgradeable flights against an upgrade percentage since there was no possible upgrade to get. This is especially true if there are other flights in the market that do have a F/C section that you could have picked from the get-go. Of course, you are free to count as you wish.
