If you are requesting late check out and the suite is booked on your day of check out by another guest then they could deny your suite upgrade as it’s technically not available for the entirety of your stay.
Now if you booked the suite and paid for it with no upgrade then that’s a completely different story, but if you’re getting both a suite upgrade and a 4pm checkout I’d 100% be flexible if they asked. YMMV
I'm not sure why you've gone and assumed a bunch of incorrect information, then seemingly sided with the hotel.
I was booked and confirmed in a suite - denying me that room for the entirety of that stay means they're downgrading me or walking me. The point is, I was 100% flexible on this occasion and didn't try and argue for something that by the book I was entitled to, when they (Andaz) weren't for something similar. I'm also not sure what part of not happily accepting a change of room in the future when I'm not required to is 'burning bridges' - this whole thread is about Hyatt properties not adhering to WoH program terms for late checkout.
You also seem to have contradicted yourself from earlier.

To me once a TSU is applied it should treated no differently than if you booked and paid full price for the suite. Further, they can offer to move you to a standard room from 12pm to 4pm, but it’s only them asking it’s not required.
Even if it’s a complimentary upgrade you still are not required to leave sooner at a non-resort.
