the fee has been recently increased supposedly to be able to continue to offers those benefits or so the communication stated when it was announced… so for 2025 the spend credit related to this offer is effectively increased by £50 assuming that you can make full use of all the components. The annual fee on the other end went up £75 (from £575 to £650).

I am sure that for certain people, picking a restaurant where a lunch for two cost around £100 anyway, this will allow to have virtually two paid dinner at home, and if they were able to do the same abroad, then the same, but for my “user case”, where I would have chosen from a restricted list of 1-2 Michelin stars restaurant and use the £150 as a way to reduce the total spend, the new offer is less appealing and I will need to change my approach to make best use of them (and probably by the end of 2025 will have a better idea if I can still justify the fee).
