A couple of my family members were shutout of their online banking last week when their bank dropped support Android 11 and earlier, their Moto One Action devices are stranded at Android 11.

Neither are particularly demanding users and use little other than their online banking, social media apps and one of them has taken literally hundreds of pictures of the dog's skin tags.

So I guess I am looking for an Android 14 device to give them maximal runway and something with a decent enough camera so that the skin tag pictures they deluge their vet with are clear.

Am I just going to Costco to buy the latest Moto G or is there something else to contemplate? Costco also has a TCL (Alcatel?) Rio that looks like garbage,

There are some other Motorola and Samsung devices in that price range on Amazon but they appear to be grey market imports and the last time I bought one of those it had absolutely grating custom firmware for a foreign prepaid carrier.

Am I missing anything or does the Moto G continue to occupy the same best in class position it has for the last decade?
