In my experience it definitely has been more difficult to get award seats which is due to the popularity/hype by bloggers coupled with ANA withholding and limiting them even if they are empty.
I can’t personally speak to J but the consensus from various threads seems to be close in J awards have dried up somewhat. F close in has been ok for me though these days I rarely take advantage of routes other than HNL and occasionally SF. My next 10 months or so are all booked on JL so I haven’t been watching super closely the last couple months other than watching for HNL F next summer.
