I am a bit confused and need some help. We last entered Japan in 2022 but will be entering 4 times between November 2024 and Feb 2025. Our first entry is November 11 2024 and then we will be returning on Nov 25 and then again in mid Jan and early February. Can we fill out the online application before we enter on Nov 11 or do we need to wait until after that? If we need to wait, and the pre-approval takes a month, then we probably wont get the pre-approval by Nov 25 and will need to wait until we re-enter in Jan 2025. Is that correct, or can we put in the online app now before we leave. We will be in the category for Global Entry. Weve started the online application form, but dont know what to do when we get to the disembarkation card section. Do we have to say no?

We have a very long layover on two separate tickets on the Nov 11 entry and so we would have plenty of time to obtain the needed revenue stamps. Can we do that even if we dont have the initial approval paper. Can the stamps be saved for the when the application is approved? Do we just send the application through while on layover.
We have APEC cards, US ones which are not really full APEC cards. Are they recognized for faster entry? Is there any benefit to obtaining the TTP as well? And just to confirm, new passport, new application but can you use an entry on the old passport for the application?

We had HK fast pass for many years, which was a breeze to get set up and even with new passports, HK immigration were able to re-link easily to the new passports. Japan looks more to be the gateway to Asian travel for while, so trying to understand the rules on this program. Understand I might be overthinking this, but coming to the experts anyway.
