I am speaking strictly re: redemption/awards to which Hilton/Hyatt offer much more value for the amount of work/CCs you have to maintain (ie. Bonvoy Brilliant/Ritz/Business vs Multiple Aspires). If you have cash/points, then of course the world is your oyster.
It's a matter of individual opinion. For me, point values (factoring in the redemption value as well as how easy they are to earn) for the three chains are:
Hyatt > Marriott > Hilton
For footprint and availability of properties at various price points, I rank them:
Marriott/Hilton > Hyatt

One city I like to travel to is Buenos Aires, Argentina. Hyatt has limited option: the Park Hyatt Palacio Duhau, which is a beautiful property but priced much higher than I'd want to pay in BA (although I have before), and a few properties from Hyatt's partnership with Mr. and Mrs. Smith (where elite benefits and point redemption values can be hit or miss). Marriott has 4 hotels in the city center and a couple more further out. Of those 4 hotels in the city, I can often use a 35k credit card certificate with a points top off at three of them (as well as at the two outside of town). Additionally, Marriott Homes and Villas has several inexpensive flats there that can be among the cheapest ways to get elite nights anywhere.

As always, YMMV.
