Am I right in thinking 35 minutes is BA's target turnaround for an A319? I'm sure I came across that figure somewhere in this treasure trove of knowledge that is the BA forum here. They were pretty quick at turning around in JER, probably closer to 30 mins. Sadly it didn't help that much because of the hour's wait for the ATC slot despite the Captain's best efforts to be at the front of the slot. I'm hoping the 33 countable minutes argument will win the day with an independent adjudicator. We got to the flight connections desk at probably T-31 and were immediately helped - one area where F really does make a difference. So a very few less of those countable minutes attributed to BA would have got us through conformance and saved the day.
I think the turnaround time is 45 minutes, but it can be done in 35 minutes, certainly in JER and I had one earlier this week at T5, of all places, even the captain was surprised. You are on the right lines, you need to drill down into the details and challenge on the "all reasonable measures". You only need to hold 4 minutes, ideally 6 minutes to time that BA could have operationally improved for you to have made Conformance.
