I don’t think it’s a joke to have a light meal on any flight leaving c9:30pm or later. Tbh I prefer not to have meal and use the CCR properly pre departure.
I find the language used in the menus odd and do thing Brunch timing is too late or they need to make the dishes more appealing but again not the worst move from a customer perspective.
Yes, I thought that SIN was unaffected and I was pretty sure the agent was wrong but as she had gone away and specifically asked someone else to confirm her suspicions I (with misgivings) took her word for it. I have always found the information on here to be much more reliable than that given by BA GGL agents and I only really called to register my unhappiness with the cuts. I agree that there is nothing funny about light meals on post-9.30pm flights and like you, my modus operandi is to eat well in the CCR and get my head down, especially on the SIN flight. I do enjoy having the F dinner after 7 hours or so of sleep as I have never gotten on with BA breakfasts and a light meal just wouldn't cut it then. I see the replacement of lunch by the ridiculous Brunch offering as being a much bigger problem than the evening changes.
