Of course it's known that miles can only expire if you have no status, i.e. you are an Explorer.
The purpose of posting that was to show that German Explorers are now being treated differently to Explorers elsewhere in the world!
That might have to do with German legislation and customer rights
- e.g. if you exchange cash for a voucher in Germany for some service it must be valid at least three years.
