Can I piggy-back a related question ? We are going Biz LHR to CMB via DOH. Booked via British airways but operated by Qatar Airways, all legs. Flight out LHR does however have a BA number and I assume we check in at a BA desk in T4 LHR. We have an 8 hour layover and have booked the Transit Oryx Hotel Doha ourselves. Given how we booked, is it safe to assume our bags will be checked through to CMB and we do not need to get them in DOH for our transit hotel night stop ?
You check in at the operating airline's desks. So QR's. I don't think BA have had a presence in T4 since T5 opened anyway.
And yes, assuming it is all on one ticket you will be checked through in both directions. The transit hotel at DOH is airside, so make sure you have whatever you need for your.stopover in your hand luggage.
